• The photo must be a recent color portrait taken within the last 6 months, accurately showing the applicant’s current appearance.
• The applicant must face the camera directly with eyes open, looking forward, maintaining a neutral expression without smiling.
• The head and upper shoulders must be fully visible, with facial features clear and undistorted.
• The background must be pure white or light white, completely uniform with no shadows, textures, or objects (strict UAE requirement).
• Lighting must be soft and even, with no facial shadows, glare, overexposure, or backlighting.
• No hats or head coverings are allowed unless for religious reasons, and they must not obscure facial features.
• If glasses are worn, lenses must show no glare or tint, and frames must not cover the eyes.
• Hair must not obscure the eyebrows, eyes, or facial contour. Long hair should be neatly arranged.
• No beauty filters, smoothing, slimming, or alterations that modify natural appearance are allowed.
• The photo must be sharp and clean, free of noise, compression artifacts, red-eye, stains, watermarks, or editing traces.
